Chai: A Space to Breathe

I was invited to develop a vision for Chai, a coffee shop located within a yoga studio, where movement and stillness coexist harmoniously. The design emerged organically, with every element rooted in natural materials. The floor features seamless resin, while the microcement countertops are both smooth and grounding. The tables and seating were hand-built from simple plywood, basic yet sincere in their design. Outside, we created a front garden using reclaimed railway sleepers and tree stumps, which blends beautifully into the natural landscape. This space was not only designed; it was also experienced. It embodies a quiet balance of texture and tone, inviting you to pause, sip, and breathe.
